Britain is not buying into Black Friday and it's a point of national pride

That's right: it'll take more than some sales to get through our national crustiness.

Increasingly over the past few years, it's seemed that Black Friday has landed on British soil. But although shops are offering events and deals as they do in the US, the consumer reaction seems relatively tame.
